1) I purchased this RAM module for my HP Envy TouchSmart 15-J109TX Notebook PC which came bundled with 8GB DDR3 Samsung RAM.2) 8GB was enough for me up til now, but now I have been doing a lot of video editing and do no wish to wait until I run out of memory.This Ram exactly matched the Samsung DDR3 RAM that came with my laptop. CL, Voltage and Frequency, all three matched exactly.3) Before upgrading, always make sure you match the CL, Voltage and Frequency of both the RAMs. Uneven frequencies of RAM may lead to system unstability and heating up of RAM module. And may even result in system crash.4) Do not buy before making sure you have matched all the three attributes of both the RAM. If you need any help identifying these information of your RAM, you can use CPU-Z. Google "CPU-Z', download it and run it. I have attached a snapshot of how it looks.5) I installed it in my HP Laptop recently and uploaded a video if anyone is interested is seeing..https: // youtu. be/ HWNGpp2fzf0(remove spaces in the link).6) It's been a week and it's working fine. No issue at all.7) Packaging is done very thoroughly, so don't worry about transit damage. And the delivery will be on time. If there's any issue, Amazon Customer Representative will take care of it. These guys are best.8) If your processor supports higher frequency RAM (let's say X) and the RAM (let's say Y) that came with the laptop is of lower frequency(i.e. Y is less than X or Y < X), you can ditch that and sell it on eBay or OLX and purchase the higher frequency RAM to match your processor, you will see a noticeable performance improvement.See the CPU Model name in CPU-Z and then google it out, you will get to know everything about your processor.

The Seller had given a 8gb ram with 'Apple' written on the case.After calling the seller and clarifying that this ram is not only made for Apple Mac Laptops but is compatible with other brand Laptops as well.And the seller was indeed right, installed the ram and works like a charm! Improved my laptop speed tremendously.

After intsalling this product, my pc started crashing frequently (and the frequency kept on increasing month by month)A few days back when I did a memory test, the result came out to be a fault in the ram. I took it to the kingston service center where just by looking at the sticker, they told me that it's not a genuine Kingston product and asked me to contact "services_india@kingston.com"I attached pictures of RAM with the email and send it to Kingston. In the reply, they assured me that it's not a genuine kingston product.I really regret purchasing this.

Turned out to be a descent upgrade for my Hp Envy 15-j109tx.For guys looking out to check compatibility here are a few steps that can help (for a windows system):1. Check the product specs on your manufacturer's website, for mine it states that current RAM is indeed a "8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L" type and also the "MAX RAM supported is 16 GB" (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-15-Notebook-PC-series/5401191/model/6622276/document/c04031367#AbT0)2. Google and Download CPU-Z and install it, then run the program (its a freeware) [http://www.cpuid.com].Once you run the program you will see various tabs like CPU, Caches and so on....Click on SPD Tab and there you will find a drop down box for memory slot selection (SLOT#1, SLOT#2), once you select the memory slot you will be able to see VOLTAGE information at the bottom and if it states "1.35V" this is the RAM you are looking for...."But Before buying just make sure the amount of RAM your system can support!!!!!!
